Ryan Thompson is considering a run for political office in Hawaii county.
The intent is not to win an election, but to have a discussion with the other candidates about how to move forward in an economically, and socially volatile time in Hawaii.
Ryan has been involved in activism, and politics for over 20 years.
Ryan has effectively as a citizen gotten inane and tyrannical free speech laws nullified, which forbid or created obstacles for citizens to utilize their free speech rights.
Ryan believes in above all else the Non-Aggression Principle:
The non-aggression principle, also called the non-aggression axiom, the anti-coercion, zero aggression principle, or non-initiation of force, is an ethical stance asserting that aggression is inherently wrong. In this context, aggression is defined as initiating or threatening any forceful interference with an individual or their property. In contrast to pacifism, it does not forbid forceful defense.
Ryan takes many notable people’s works and words as inspiration.
Ron Paul (Physician, Former congressman of the USA, and former presidential candidate)
Lysander Spooner (author, and liberty advocate)
Jack Herer (activist and author of The Emperor Wears No Clothes)
Ayn Rand (author)
Barry Goldwater (American politician, businessman, and author and Senator of Arizona)
Ronald Reagan (US President, actor and author)
Rand Paul (US Senator, and Physician)
Ralph Nader (Lawyer, Presidential candidate, author)
Thomas Sowell (Professor, author, and American economist)
Milton Friedman (Professor, economist, author)
While all of these inspiring people affect Ryan’s point of view on life, politics, and relationships, Ryan does not subscribe to EVERYTHING that they believe in or write about. These are just people who inspire Ryan.
